Prior to listing your home for sale or lease, we always recommend that you take a few steps to make sure that you can showcase it in it's absolute best condition.
Declutter
Pack the belongings that you're not going to need prior to your move. Remove items like family photos, art collections, and pet accessories. Store these belongings in a storage space, garage, or off-site storage. Help potential buyers visualize themselves and their belongings living in the space.
Minor Repairs & Maintenance
Anything that you've been putting off, like having that leaking toilet repaired, replacing a broken lock, repainting the wall that your kids coloured on, or even replacing burnt out lightbulbs can help buyers see your home in its best light. It's reassuring to know they're buying a well maintained home.
Deep Clean
A fresh, clean home will help buyers recognize that moving in and making the home their own will be easy. Taking steps like having any carpeting steam cleaned before your listing, cleaning windows, and ensuring the appliances like the fridge and stove are clean can help achieve a quicker sale.

When your home is on the market, and we're working our marketing plan, we're going to bring as many potential buyers through as possible through scheduled visits and open houses. This can cause quite a bit of disruption to your family and your schedule. A couple of helpful tips:

You may have requests for showings with minimal notice. Knowing that you're maintaining a clean and clutter-free home will help make this simple and stress-free.
Make Arrangements for Pets
I'm a huge pet lover, owner, and foster. I know exactly how important these beloved family members are! When you're selling your home, your pets need a plan, too. Perhaps they can stay with a loved one during a brief period to allow potential buyers to come in and out without worrying about your animals. At minimum, your pet spaces need to be kept clean and odour free, and your dogs need to leave the home with you during all showings.
